You have your own late-night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?
Megan Thee Stallion
If you could magically become fluent in any language, what would it be?
I’m stuck between Russian and French-Russian because it sounds strong. French because it hits the ear right. It just flows.
Who have been your strongest influences in life?
My mom and my son have been the strongest influences in my life.
My mom came to this country, did not know or understand the language, but pushed through to give my sisters and me a better life. It had its hiccups, but raising three headstrong girls can’t be easy. She let us be wild and free. She advocated for us when we could not. She pushed us to excel academically and did not impose traditional women’s roles on us. She unintentionally raised feminists. What she really taught us was to not ever let someone (or ourselves) limit us. We are limitless in potential.
My son. I had my son when I was 19 years old. He changed my life completely and is why I push myself to strive and be better every day. I know that actions speak louder than words. I can’t ask him to do better, be great and exceed all expectations when I’m not doing the same. I want to be the reason he says there is no excuse.
What three apps can you not live without?
Google, TikTok/IG and Spotify
If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?
I’m just hoping we keep high-waisted pants a thing. Low-rise jeans are just not it for me.
What would the title of your autobiography be?
More Than a Statistic
